Foreign Relations Department

The main goal of the Department of the International Relations is to establish and develop relations between the University of Georgia and the leading universities of the world. Moreover, the relations with the partner universities encompass the cooperation through the scientific research and educational centres. Furthermore, the joint projects and the exchange programmes involve the collaboration vie the exchange of students, young scholars and academic staff. Surely, this cooperation is inclined towards amelioration of the experience gained by the students and improvement of the qualification of the academic staff. The University of Georgia has the everyday contacts with the other universities, what itself includes the procedures of holding seminars and conferences. On behalf of the department, we implement the common projects, the exchange programs for students and academic staff, which give them opportunity to enhance their knowledge and their experience.

DIR (the Department of the International Relations) promotes the mobility of the students and the academic staffs, disseminates information about the study and the research opportunities, provides the services for the international students, and arranges the consultations for the Georgian students being determined to continue to study abroad.
