Mariana Vardinoianisi

Mariana was born and grown up in Athens, Greece. After having finished the school she continued her further studies in economics in the University of Denver, Colorado, United States Of America.

She has started her professional activities far ago in the social fields, by means of being the member and participant in various associations and beneficial institutions. She selflessly strived for peace and global solidarity, children’s health, education, social welfare, against poverty, children abuse and violation, their exploitation and generally against limitation of general rights of human beings. She has worked out the dynamic strategy for collaboration in order to create culture of peace in the world, focused on the countries involved in armed conflicts, like Palestrina and former Yugoslavia.

In 1990 she established the fund “ELPIDA” – the friendly association for children suffered with cancer. Now she is the president of the fund.

In 1996 she established the fund ‘’the fund – child and family’’ which aims to protect and support children and families. As the president of mentioned fund, Mrs. Mariana protects the rights of children and families, works for their welfare - on the local, European and international level.
