Fifth International Conference for Literary Journalism Studies

A cordial reminder that the Fifth International Conference for Literary Journalism Studies is coming to London in just over a week's time, May 20 to 22. The conference, held by The International Association for Literary Journalism Studies (IALJS), is being hosted this year by ReWrite, the Centre for Research in Creative and Professional Writing, at Roehampton University.
The IALJS is devoted to the teaching and researching of literary journalism and journalists throughout the world, and embraces a wide range of topics and disciplinary frameworks. The subject is defined as "journalism as literature" rather than "journalism about literature" and concerns forms of nonfiction writing that are also sometimes called reportage, narrative journalism, or creative nonfiction.
The event offers an opportunity to widen debate in the UK as a whole about this literary form, and the teaching of all kinds of writing practice. The programme includes a session with Roehampton University Chancellor John Simpson, discussing his work as a writer. The full program is available at:

There will be only a limited facility to pay at the door, so we are encouraging everyone to pay in advance via the IALJS's website. To do this, please go to the following link:
